A Big Week

This was a big, busy, traveling, visiting and fun week for us. In addition to playing with her jungle friends on her play mat and getting more and more acquainted with Barley and Payson, Maia met some new friends and got to see Kim again this week. DJ, Maia and I spent Saturday afternoon with Kim at DIA keeping her company during her three hour layover on her way to a conference in Reno. Then, Maia and I traveled to Denver on Monday and spent the afternoon with some of my most dear friends, Jessie and Jessica, and got to meet Vivian, Jessie's little girl, for the first time! Vivian and Maia loved each other and it was great to see Jessie and Jessica - it had been too long since we had seen each other last. It was our first trip out of town on our own, so I was a little nervous about how the day might unfold, but Maia did great. That same evening we picked up Kim at the airport and she was able to spend a few days with us. Maia thought Auntie Kim was pretty funny (see the video clips) and really started reaching out for things while Kim was here - and hasn't stopped since. Reach for anything and everything, annnndddd . . . . straight to the mouth!
