Labor Day weekend we got in our first, and last, camping trip of the season. We met my parents and Jim and Diane at Big Creek Lakes. The night we pulled in it was maybe 30 degrees, so the nights got pretty chilly but we had great weather during most days. Maia seemed to have fun and did great snuggling in to keep warm and sleeping in a sleeping bag with Mom. We were grateful for my parents warm camper with Maia's solo bedtime and also in the chilly mornings.

One of the day's we all took a hike to the Upper Lakes. Maia had her first backpack ride and seemed to be comfortable enough:) After some fishing and playing in the water, Maia had a lot of fun stories to tell as she talked the entire way down (at least an hour) - we're grateful she loves the mountains as much as we do.
